WESTMINSTER - Today marked a changing of the guard for democracy. We elected our new leadership team at our Biennial Reorganization meeting. The new Chair of the Adams County Democratic Party, Beckie Bean, is the first Millennial to serve in this role.

As a part of her campaign for election, she released the following written statement:

"The work for our next elections begins now! While we had some local victories, we still have more to do to ensure Democrats win up and down the ballot. Voter turnout in Adams County dropped 10.26% from 2020 and was the lowest turn out in the Front Range.

"This election was a wake up call and a call to action. We must do more to engage our community to get them excited to vote for Democrats in every election!

"We are stronger when we work together! Our big tent county party recognizes the fundamental humanity of every person. We honor disagreements on tactics but not on the humanity of individuals in our community. We serve every Democratic Party member, every voter, and every resident in Adams County."
