PRESS RELEASE
ADAMS COUNTY – Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We hold in our hearts the victims, their families, and the brave first responders who answered the call with selflessness and courage. May we continue to stand united, carrying forward their memory with kindness, strength, and resilience.
In addition to remembering our first responders, the Adams County Democrats remember all of those impacted. From the War on Terror to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, we lost countless lives in the fight for our nation in the aftermath of 9/11. The impact of those wars continues to be felt by our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
"I was just 18 years old when our entire world changed. When I saw the plane hit the second tower live on the morning news, the enormity of the tragedy became clear. This wasn't a horrific accident, but rather, an intentional attack on our very way of life," said Beckie Bean, Chair of the Adams County Democrats.
This moment is a solemn reminder of both unimaginable tragedy and incredible human courage. As we mark the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, let us honor the memory of those we lost by reflecting the best of humanity: supporting our neighbors, serving our communities, and standing together in unity.
