Michael is running to represent Commerce City, Brighton, and Thornton (District K) on the RTD Board because he believes our transit system should work for people helping families get to jobs, schools, and services while supporting more housing choices and walkable neighborhoods. He grew up in Commerce City and knows firsthand the challenges when buses don’t show up or the system doesn’t feel safe.
Coleman is running to represent Westminster, Northglenn, Federal Heights, Southwest Thornton and Unincorporated Adams County (District J) on the RTD Board because as a "train guy" he is passionate about public transportation. He believes taking public transit shouldn’t be a shameful thing that triples your commute time and fills you with anxiety over your safety.
Ian is running for re-election to represent Arvada (District L) on the RTD Board because his deep understanding of complex systems helps him advocate for smarter, more efficient transit networks. His background includes significant involvement within the New Leaders Council, Transit Alliance, and YIMBY Denver, where he has spent fifteen years building coalitions to support advanced cycling and pedestrian frameworks.
Bianka is running to represent North Aurora and the Near-Eastern Plains (District B) on the RTD Board because she wants an affordable, reliable, and accessible transit system. She believes in putting the community first by listening directly to riders, neighborhoods, small businesses, and families before decisions are made. As President of the Colorado Black Women for Political Action (CBWPA), she leads statewide policy advocacy and voter engagement efforts.
John is running to represent North Aurora and the Near-Eastern Plains (District B) on the RTD Board because as a regular RTD commuter, he wants affordable, abundant, frequent, clean, and safe public transit. He believes in less politics as usual and more accountability. As an architect with more than 25 years building housing, transit-oriented development, and walkable communities, he understands how transportation shapes neighborhoods and expands opportunity.
