Welcome to the Adams County Democratic Party, the party of success!

Adams County has a tradition of electing strong, principled Democratic officials and we want to continue working towards that goal.

From the Chair - Feb 2010
Written by Marty Wisniewski, ACDP Chair

In the last eight years, the leaders of the Republican Party have rewritten the Constitution. The Supreme Court ruled that corporations have the right to free speech, and since they do not have a natural voice, they can use their money instead. With this outrageous ruling from the Supreme Court, we have been bought and paid for. I heard a suggestion that now we should require corporate patches on the congress and senate clothing, like NASCAR, to denote their sponsors. At least that would be honest. The ruling flies in the face of all the finance reform which has been sought by the American people.

Health Care Reform Resolution
Written by Administrator

The following healthcare reform resolution was passed by the Executive Committee meeting at the December 17 meeting:

Whereas, all Americans deserve and have a right to healthcare and medical services; and,

Whereas, the people of Adams County deserve to have affordable access to quality health care regardless of their employment status, health condition, or economic level; and,

Whereas, health care and health insurance reform is now being considered in the U.S. Congress and U.S. Senate;

Now, therefore, be it resolved that:

The Executive Committee of the Adams County Democratic Party requests our elected representatives in Congress to support and vote for a strong healthcare reform bill which will eliminate denial of coverage based on pre-existing conditions, eliminate rescission of existing coverage, will bring down cost of insurance coverage and medical treatment, and authorize a public option that provides Americans the choice of a not-for-profit insurance provider.

Fundraiser Raffle Tickets
Written by Robert Trucker

Dear Friends,

I hope this letter finds you and all your loved ones doing well and enjoying this holiday season. As I reflect on the events of these past two years, I am in awe of what we, as a party, have accomplished. I'm also in awe of the amount of work that is ahead of us if we are to hang on to the gains we made in 2008. We've all heard the bleak news from our elected officials about how hard this next election cycle will be for all of us. I have no doubt that we will prevail, but we do have our work cut out for us.
