    We are often asked "How can I get more involved?" If you are registered as a Democrat in Adams County, you are automatically a member of the Adams County Democratic Party.   You are welcome to attend the monthly Executive Board meeting of the officers, captains and co-captains, and elected officials.

Marty Wisniewski - Chair

Marty Wisniewski is married to his wife Linda for 31 years and has 2 sons, Justin and Mat, and daughter, Beth.  Marty works at the US Postal Service in the Vehicle Maintenance Division.

He is very involved in the community. Marty was a coach and board member of the Northern Lights Little League which partnered with the Colorado Rockies and the City of Thornton to build the $3,000.000.00 baseball complex at 136th and York in Thornton.

He was Boy Scout Scoutmaster and Chair of the Valley District Nomination Committee.

He was a board member of the Agency for a Clean Thornton. Marty worked on the campaign for the city’s open space tax.

Marty was appointed to the Thornton City Council in1999 and elected the same year.

He served on the City of Thornton City Council for 8 years, 2 as Mayor Pro Tem and Acting Mayor.  While on City Council, he was on the National League of Cities Transportation Policy Committee. He also served on the Energy, Environmental and Natural Resource Policy and on its Steering Committee.    Marty was involved with Adams County Council of Governments.   He served on the 27J School Capital Fee Foundation and Weld county I-25 Corridor Transportation Committee.

Marty also served on the Metro Mayors’ Caucus and Adams County Economic and Development Board.  Most recently, he worked on the Forward Colorado campaign and Representative Judy Solano’s HD 31 Campaign.  Marty is the Founder of the Thornton Veterans’ Memorial Foundation.  He also is a 28-year member of the APWU.
